Thanks to all who offered a solution. As Dave pointed out the problem was with magnet orientation, and the 90 degree rotation did the trick. Primarily I thought I was omitting boundary definitions of the magnet,hence the misleading question. I also tried modelling it as a current sheet as suggested in the manual and came out with similar results.
