Re: [femm] Linear Induction Motors



Hi,

   I am after controlling the speed the plunger moves at across the whole of its travel.  Most solenoids accelerate until they hit a mechanical stop, I need a bit more control than this.

I have designed high speed DC solenoids and I have the knowledge and means to calculate the solenoid time response. What do you mean by speed control? Are you refering to the time it takes the plunger to

movefron start position to end position (ON-OFF)?
