Re: [femm] B-H curve

Hi Mark:

Table 14 on p. 778 of the "ASM Handbook" 1990, 2 pp. 761-781 lists Type 446 as a ferritic stainless. In fully annealed condition it has max. permeability of 1000, coercive force 360 A m-1 and resitivity 67 uOhm*cm.

It also cites the article "Wrought Stainless Steels" in Properties and Selection: Irons, Steels, and High-Performance Alloys, V1. of the 10th Edition of Metals Handbook (ASM).

Would anyone have any data for ASTM 446-1 (German W.-Nr. 1.4749) High
temperature grade stainless steel (~26% Cr) (Sandvik 4C54) the manufacturer
can't help. Or an Idea of what other material it's magnetic properties might
be like?
