I would like to compute the V/I generated from a spherical magnet sliding back and forth inside a coil. Does a closed-form equation exist for this type of problem or is it the type of problem for which FEMM should be applied? If FEMM is appropriate can anyone suggest how to set the problem up? Seems like a rail-gun problem in reverse...
