One way to simulate induction operation is to impose a frequency egal to gf (where g is the slip and the f is the power system frequency) either in the sator and in the rotor. This is called a static ou qusi static rotor model. It is like suppplying the induction motor with a power system having a frequency equal to gf while keeping the rotor blocked.    

There is some similitudes with Steinmeitz model of the induction motor where the load is taken into account by dividing the rotor resistance by the slip.
