Dave.. I try to calculate forces in a PM-iron structure (please see attached .fem file). I'm using the boundary condition in order to modify the position of the stator (central part of the structure). The problem is, even thought I the stator is smooth (no slot) I'm getting different force values for different position, which is unexpected. If I have smooth surface, I don't have cogging force. However, the magnetic energy is constant for any position. What could be the problem? thanks Juan
