Re: [FEMM] BH curves, intrinsic?

Hello,

I want to enter a new ferromagnetic metal in my "material library".

I have the intrinsic BH curve of the metal.

After editing all the BH curves for ferromagnetic metals in the actual FEMM
library, I can see that the BH curves are not the "intrinsic curves" but
that a term in ( 10^6 . H ) is added (probably to enter the "total" B at a
given H).

The curve that you should enter into femm is the "total" b that results from a given applied h. That is, if you have an "intrinsic" curve where you have an intrinsic induction bi(h), you can create the "total b" by:
b(h)=bi(h) +muo*h
where muo=4*PI*10^(-7) H/m =1.2566370614359173e-6 H/m is the permeability of free space in MKS units. You then enter a series of (b(h),h) points as your curve.
