Not in "normal" FEMM.

I think so. You could try using getpointvalues(x,y) repetitively in a 
couple of loops and writing the results to a file.

Yes, have a look at http://www.tecgraf.puc-rio.br/lua/ , you can download 
the manual. I've certainly been using arithmetic and trigonometric 
functions successfully.
