I am using FEMM 3.1 to analysis a lifting magnet. The results as returned by the program indicate a maximum B value of 5.3 Tesla 4" from the working surface of the magnet. But, the saturation of steel only produces slighly more than 2 Tesla. I wasusing the B-H curve of 1020 Steel in my formulation. What am I missing from my analysis. Thank you, Paul Sheridan
