Problem with DXF import from Autocad R14

Hi,
I am new to this forum. I have used femm 3.1 since novemeber 2001.
Just upgraded to version 3.2
I can't import dxf from R14. And I don't have R12 any longer.
In message 1479 in this forum there is a fix for Soldiworks DXF 
import, can I use that?
Please help.
