Re: [FEMM] Examples and the new lua magnetics
Tom Hansen wrote:
Hi,
I have been trying to run some of the examples to learn more of lua
scripting but have had to re-edit them just to make them work since
the older version of lua scripts did not have the "mi_" style notation.
Are any of the examples up to date?
Thanks,
Tom Hansen
All of the Lua examples on the website should work with 3.3, the current
release version. I haven't gotten around to redoing all the examples to
run correctly in the 4.0 development version, where the pre- and
post-processor are different open documents in one program rather than
separate programs requiring seperate Lua scripts. However, an example
called Force-vs-Position.lua is included in the 4.0 distribution. This
example calculates force versus plunger position for an solenoid problem
from Roters' "Electromagnetic Devices." The script is located at:
c:\Program Files\femm40\examples\Force-vs-Position.lua
if you installed the program in the default location.
