Re: [femm] Help Eddy current in three phase induction motor

Yes I've taken stator and rotor slot leakage components. When a slot is open (semi closed) it is easy. For closed rotor slots we have to obtain a permeance curve dependent of the rotor current. To calculate this curve I need B-H curve of the core. But this is not a finite element solution. It's an iterative method. I want to know how to findthe slot leakage after solving the field problem by using FEM. Also I wonder if the end winding leakage reactance is comparable to this slot leakage or not. As you understand, I'm trying to use FEM instead of analytical approaches, but haven't enough knowledge to start.

If you use 2D program it make difficult to take this into account, but in any case this is more precise than the old analitical programas. As soon as possible we let you know some results.

Have you already thought about the problem of considering a close slot in the rotor. You have also a leakage inductanceand this is only 2D problem.

Hi,
I wonder while simulating a three phase induction machine, how can we take the effect of the end winding of the stator and the endring of the rotor into account? (So their leakage inductance also). Thanks.
