Just about the only thing that will throw triangle is if you have a geometry
where two lines create a really small angle. This can occur when you have,
for example, a line that is tangent to a circle, as I think is the case in
your problem.
Pretty much the only cure is to re-draw the problem, forcing an angle of
at least 1 degree if the object really do have to meet at just one point
of tangency or leaving a small gap between your magnets and your plates.
