Magnetizing Fixture Design - Helllp...:-))

Hi There,

It's been few month now that I really appreciate the help of FEMM in
my little design projects: Loudspeaker motor design...

I just did a new project for a Neodymium magnet(Neo35H) and I need to
design a Magnetizing fixture for our magnetizer. From my
understanding, a solenoid embedded in thermaly conductive Epoxy -
Water cooled in some cases.. I would need about 30000 to 32000Oe to
coerce this magnet.

>From what I read, the stresses develloped on the coil(Maxwell
stresses) when it's being pulsed for @ example 35000G could be up to
10000psi...That's quite a lot..lots of fatigue strength expected on
the coil..

One thing I read, is that my entire system has to be overdamped to
prevent ringing of the R - L - C..So my fixture resistance should be
high enough to overdamp the system

If Anybody has information related to this type of design, I would
really appreciate to have your expertise...

How can I simulate with FEMM such a system? Any idea welcome??

Regards
Tony

Ps: Attention to Keith Gregory..I used to be one of your student @
Loughborough University..:-)) How little is our world...
